Advocacy Action on HB 123
House Bill 123 passed a floor vote in the Georgia House 172-0! The bill, sponsored by Chairman Bill Werkheiser, would create a pretrial hearing process for determining intellectual disability, and would lower the standard of proof from “beyond a reasonable doubt” to “preponderance of the evidence.”
